Central Florida Man Won $15 Million Prize Playing Scratch-Off Game

The Florida Lottery recently announced that John Eichinger Jr., of Port Orange, claimed a $15 million top prize from the $15,000,000 Gold Rush Multiplier scratch-off game.

The Volusia County man chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $8,968,000.

The Central Florida winner turned $30 into $15 million when he purchased his winning ticket from Wawa, located at 1031 Dunlawton Avenue in Port Orange. The retailer received a $30,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.
