Fort Lauderdale residents can expect to see improvements along Las Olas Boulevard as the City partners with All County Paving for asphalt enhancement. The project targets sections resurfaced last March between SE 6th Avenue and SE 15th Avenue in Beverly Heights and Colee Hammock. Starting this Sunday, crews will begin applying new pavement markings—an effort expected to be completed by May 9, assuming favorable weather conditions.
According to a notice provided by the City of Fort Lauderdale, work is set for evening hours from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday to Thursday, to mitigate disruptions. Throughout this period, traffic won’t face full road closures but rather will be directed by on-site personnel to ensure flow and safety. Residents may need to scout for alternative parking spots, though, as accessibility to street parking within the project’s parameters will be limited during the same nighttime hours.
As per an earlier release on the City’s website, the initial resurfacing included removing brick pavers, milling, and applying asphalt, with phased work to decrease impact on neighborhood routine and local businesses.
