Coral Springs Man Arrested After Backyard Shooting Sparked by Gambling Dispute

A man was taken into custody on May 12 following a nearly two-month investigation into a shooting that stemmed from an argument over gambling debts from playing cards and dominoes during a backyard gathering.

According to an arrest affidavit filed by the Sunrise Police Department, Luckenson Jeudi, 43, of Coral Springs, was arrested on a warrant for shooting into an occupied dwelling.

Records show the investigation stems from an incident that occurred on March 8, when officers were called to a residence in Lauderhill regarding a shooting. Responding officers located the victim in the front yard of the home with a graze wound to his forehead. The victim, who appeared confused and disoriented, was initially only able to identify the shooter by the nickname “A.J.”…
