Authorities in Florida say a “verbal altercation” led to a suspect driving a vehicle into a crowd of people, striking three, before he was shot in the shoulder by a bystander.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said 55-year-old Eduardo Lando-Matamoro of Hialeah was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon in connection with the incident Sunday night.
