Drinking Session at Fiesta Food Market Turns Violent Over Two Men’s Immigration Status

A man was arrested after allegedly attacking another man he had been drinking with inside Fiesta Food Market, following an argument about their undocumented immigration status.

According to a Broward County Sheriff’s Office report, Ronal Soriano, 25, of Tamarac, and a Honduran national, was taken into custody on June 14 following a 911 call originating from the Fiesta Food Market, located at 5425 North State Road 7.

According to the arrest affidavit, deputies were dispatched to the scene in response to a reported battery and assault. Upon arrival, they encountered the victim, visibly injured, bleeding from the nose, holding his stomach, and crying. He also had blood on his hands and appeared to be in significant pain…
