An Acreage man brought a handgun and two loaded magazines to one of South Florida’s largest Pride events and walked away from security officers after setting off a metal detector at the festival’s entrance, police said in arresting him on two charges.
Michael Monheit ignored commands to stop from police on duty at the Stonewall Pride Parade and Street Festival in Wilton Manors on June 14, according to a police report made public this week. Officers eventually detained him.
