A Georgia woman faces charges after Miami police say she drugged a Miami man and stole valuables, including a Rolex, from his apartment. According to Local 10 News, Bianca Thorpe, from Grovetown, Georgia, was arrested following an investigation that led detectives to a Dodge Durango connected to the crime.
The incident took place on June 11 after the victim met Thorpe, and another woman, at Coco Night Club in Wynwood. After stopping at a Jamaican restaurant, they went to the man’s apartment where he consumed an iced tea and began to feel unwell, Local 10 reported. The man awoke the next morning to find his possessions stolen, the thieves gone, and his apartment ransacked with losses estimated at $25,350.
Surveillance footage from the club helped identify Thorpe, who could be seen dancing with the victim. Her distinct tattoo on her neck further corroborated her involvement when compared with the footage.
