Broward gas station clerk shot customer during spat ‘over the price of beer,’ deputies say

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – A convenience store clerk is facing an aggravated battery charge after deputies said he shot a customer at a gas station in unincorporated Broward County, according to an arrest report obtained by Local 10 News on Monday.

Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies said the shooting happened at around 11:40 p.m. at the Valero at 2400 W. Sunrise Blvd. in the county’s Franklin Park section, just outside of Fort Lauderdale.

Deputies said clerk Abdulla Monther, 46, of Fort Pierce, got into an argument with the customer “over the price of beer.”…
