The Florida Department of Education has released results for the Spring 2025 statewide assessments, showing that Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) students continue to outperform the state in the majority of tested areas.
According to a statement from BCPS, the assessments included the Florida Assessment for Student Thinking (FAST) in English Language Arts (ELA) and mathematics, as well as science exams for grades 5 and 8, and cumulative End-of-Course (EOC) exam results for Algebra, Geometry, Biology, Civics, and U.S. History.
BCPS students outscored the state in all grade levels for ELA, grades 3 through 7 in mathematics, Grade 5 in science, and in every EOC subject. The district also outperformed Florida’s four other largest school districts—Hillsborough, Miami-Dade, Orange, and Palm Beach counties—in most tested areas…
