Sheriff’s detectives outsmart man arrested in fraud case

VERO BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A Fort Lauderdale man is behind bars, charged in a fraud case in which he tried to fraudulently purchase a Cadillac from a dealer in Vero Beach.

The man was outsmarted by sheriff’s detectives who posed as employees of the car dealership.

Sheriff’s officials say the man they nabbed arranged to buy a brand new $75,000 Cadillac luxury SUV, and it was delivered to a hotel in Fort Pierce a few days ago…
