BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — Three years after a mental health therapist was raped, beaten, and held hostage for more than 15 hours inside her client’s Boca Raton home, the woman known in court as Jane Doe H.H. is now suing the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO), her former employer, and the father of her attacker.
The civil lawsuit, filed June 30 in Palm Beach County Circuit Court, names three defendants:
- PBSO, which responded to the scene twice, but left despite clear red flags
- Rejuvenate Counseling LLC, the therapy provider that assigned Jane Doe the case
- Elliot Allswang, the homeowner and father of the attacker
“She endured 15 hours of torture, of physical and sexual abuse, of wondering whether or not she was going to lose her life,” said attorney Jennifer Lipinski, owner and managing attorney at Lipinski Law, who represents Jane Doe H.H. “Seconds felt like hours, just hoping someone would come save her.”
