Pompano Beach Woman Accused of Charging Over $1,000 on Stolen Card in Big Pine Key
MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A 36-year-old Pompano Beach woman is behind bars after allegedly racking up over $1,000 in charges on a stolen credit card in Big Pine Key. Adriana Carolina Escobar Diaz was arrested Monday on charges of larceny, fraud, and theft.
The investigation began in May when a Big Pine Key man reported that credit cards from his missing wallet had been fraudulently used at several local businesses. The total unauthorized charges amounted to $1,053.77.
Detectives quickly got a lead when security video footage showed Escobar Diaz allegedly using one of the stolen credit cards at a business. A warrant was subsequently issued for her arrest…
