Three people were arrested after fleeing the scene of a hit-and-run crash involving a Broward County Transit bus at a busy Coral Springs intersection Friday, police said.
The crash happened around 1:15 p.m. on Friday, July 11, near North University Drive and West Atlantic Boulevard. According to the Coral Springs Police Department, a black BMW collided with the bus, prompting multiple people to flee the car on foot.
Officers said they quickly responded and located the suspects. The BMW’s driver, identified as Wilkenson Pericles, 24, was arrested along with two passengers: Jayden Blenman, 19, and Matthew Johnson, 17, police said.
Pericles faces several charges, including loitering and prowling, two counts of hit and run (one involving injuries and another for property damage), resisting arrest without violence, driving with a suspended license, and violation of probation stemming from prior charges including aggravated fleeing and eluding, fraud, and narcotics offenses, according to investigators…
