A St. Johns resident was one of four people across the state who died this year from a “flesh-eating” bacterium that originates in brackish seawater and seafood that hasn’t been adequately cooked.
New data from the Florida Department of Health show that the other fatalities occuried in Bay, Broward and Hillsborough counties.
