Man was drunk, speeding when he caused triple-fatal crash in Margate, cops say

MARGATE, Fla. — A BMW driver was driving more than 40 mph over the speed limit and at nearly twice the legal blood alcohol limit when he caused a January crash in Margate that left three people dead and two others hurt, according to the city’s police department.

Jeremiah Terrance Anderson, 26, of Fort Lauderdale, wasn’t even supposed to be driving in the first place, police say. He’s facing more than a dozen criminal charges, including multiple counts of vehicular homicide and DUI manslaughter, following his arrest on Thursday.
