A Bahamian man living illegally in the United States has been arrested following a months-long undercover drug sting operation by the Coral Springs Police Department.
According to CSPD investigation records, Leroy Bannister, 49, of Coral Springs, was taken into custody on July 30 after arriving at a prearranged location to sell drugs to an undercover officer.
According to police, Bannister is a native of the Bahamas who had previously been deported and was residing in Coral Springs illegally. His arrest has been referred to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The investigation began in early June after officers received information that Bannister was selling a multitude of drugs in the area.
