DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Delray Beach does not plan on removing its Pride intersection any time soon.
The noted rainbow crossing near Old School Square, that has twice been defiled by drivers doing burnouts, will stay that way for now, a city spokesperson confirmed. On Wednesday, city commissioners made the call to wait until they are given official notice to cover up the symbol of the LGBTQIA+ community.
The crosswalk, which is intended to celebrate solidarity and inclusion, was funded by the council the Palm Beach County Human Rights Council through the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, and not by taxpayers…
