Late-night meals are about way more than just good food. They’re often on the heels of a really fun experience—just after a concert, party, or wedding—and are the perfect way to keep the vibes going. They’re also often associated with delicious comfort food, like burgers and fries or thick stacks of pancakes, and the best company; you don’t usually go for a midnight meal with someone you just sort of like. Lester’s Diner in Fort Lauderdale is a 24-7 diner serving up incredible dishes around the clock. Whether it’s 4 p.m. or 4 a.m., you can count on top-notch service and irresistible food.
Lester’s Diner opened its Fort Lauderdale location in 1967. The family-owned and operated restaurant offered quintessential American dishes in a welcoming, laid-back setting. Its tasty food and 1950s decor continues to delight customers more than 50 years later. There are now three additional locations, in Sunrise, Margate, and Pompano Beach, Florida, but the Fort Lauderdale restaurant is the only one that operates 24 hours, seven days a week.
Lester’s has dishes to fit any time of day. Its breakfast offerings include the Lester’s 2-2-2, with two pancakes, two eggs, and either two pieces of bacon or two sausage links. It also serves biscuits and gravy, pancakes, French toast, waffles, breakfast sandwiches, and more. The Egg Florentine, featuring poached eggs, spinach, and Hollandaise sauce, looks incredible. As someone who could eat breakfast any time of day or night, my mouth is watering just reading their menu.
