One of the ‘worst states for driving’ increases traffic cameras to crack down on speeding

Drivers in the Sunshine State are being called to take it slow. Doral and Boca Raton in Florida are set to implement a school zone speed enforcement program in the upcoming school year.

This news comes after Florida was ranked as the second-worst state for dangerous driving near schools, with traffic crashes being the leading cause of death among school age children. The program is helmed by RedSpeed, Florida’s biggest provider of traffic safety photo enforcement solutions. It will cover 16 school zones in Doral and 7 zones in Boca Raton for the 2025-2026 school year.

“We are honored to add Doral and Boca Raton to the growing list of municipalities across Florida and Georgia that rely on our proven solutions to raise public awareness and improve safety for some of their most vulnerable residents—school-age children,” said RedSpeed CEO Robert Liberman.
