Business owner calls on Fort Lauderdale officials to stop flooding

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Luke Lockart, the owner of Sunbelt Kava, is calling on Fort Lauderdale officials to address the flooding problem that has become a nightmare inside and outside his business.

Lockart’s goal is to make sure that his Polynesian-style bar and lounge, at 3327 NE 32 Ave., for those interested in kava, a psychoactive beverage.

He wants his customers to consider Sunbelt Kava as a place to support relaxation. Instead, he said, the torrential rain caused problems for him inside and outside of his business…
