NORTH MIAMI, Fla. — Two young children were found wandering barefoot near a roadway in North Miami this week, and their aunt is now facing a child neglect charge after police say she left them alone for at least two hours.
Officers with the North Miami Police Department said they responded Monday afternoon after receiving a call that the children had been spotted walking near a building with no shoes and cuts on their feet.
Authorities confirmed that the children’s aunt, 31-year-old Nirlouize Lizaire, was later arrested and booked into jail on a charge of child neglect. In her mugshot, she appeared teary-eyed…
