‘We’ve lost both engines’: transcript captures pilots’ final words before crash on I-75

Two pilots frantically scrambled to find a safe place for an emergency crash landing – ending in a ball of flames on Interstate 75 in Naples − after the engines of their plane quit and the cockpit filled with blaring alarms.

The National Transportation Safety Board has released the transcript that reveals the conversation of pilots Edward Daniel Murphy, 50, of Oakland Park, and Ian Frederick Hofmann, 65, of Pompano Beach, on the day of their deaths.
