A mother accused of encouraging her child to fight a student at a middle school in El Portal was arrested on Friday, police said.
Tahquita Nelson, 33, is facing several charges, including child abuse and disruption at an educational institution.
According to police, on Thursday, officers arrived at Horace Mann Middle School, where Nelson pushed her child into another child so that they could fight.
