A person was taken to the hospital after a shooting involving officers in Plantation, officials said.
According to a post shared to X by Plantation Police, the northbound lanes of 800 N. State Road 7 were closed to all traffic due to the investigation. Police posted an update that the roads were reopened around 5:24 p.m. However, the scene was so massive that it backed up traffic for hours.
“I ain’t seen anything like this here,” Steven Vactor, who lives nearby, told CBS News Miami.
The call for officers went over police radio right before 3 p.m. Saturday.
