Boca Raton Man Charged With Leading Trooper on Chase, Battery and DUI

A Boca Raton man is alleged to have led a Florida Highway Patrol trooper on a chase up I-95 and on Congress Avenue before bailing out of a vehicle and punching the trooper while being taken into custody, a police report said. He is also charged with driving while intoxicated and refusing a breath test.

Carlos H. Jordan, 40, of Boca Raton, was spotted “swerving all over the road” by the trooper on I-95 around Hillsboro Boulevard in Deerfield Beach while traveling north, the report stated. The trooper, who was in a marked vehicle, eventually paced the driver – later identified as Jordan – at about 87 m.p.h. before attempting to pull him over.
