Attorneys on Monday were setting up the stage in the next death penalty case in Broward County for a 22-year-old man charged with killing a Hollywood Police officer in 2021.
Jason Banegas’ trial is set to start on Wednesday. He is accused of shooting Hollywood Police Officer Yandy Chirino as Chirino tried to arrest him following a string of alleged burglaries.
