A Plantation middle school stirred into a conscientious tension after police took a 13-year-old student into custody for allegedly threatening a school shooting. The incident, which rattled parents and staff at Renaissance Charter School, came to light after threats were discovered posted on social media.
According to NBC Miami, concerned parents alerted the school’s safety officer about the disturbing posts yesterday. Plantation Police said they responded with haste, identifying and arresting the student responsible for the threats. The juvenile now faces charges, which include electronic threats to kill, and disruption of school function.
