BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — A man has been arrested in connection with a violent robbery that left a disabled victim injured outside a Boca Raton shopping plaza.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) said 40-year-old Christopher Paul Hickman was taken into custody on October 17 for robbery without a firearm or weapon. The violent robbery occurred on the evening of September 17 outside Rayus Radiology at 23071 S. State Road 7.
The victim, a 63-year-old man in a wheelchair, was reportedly asleep on the sidewalk when he was approached by two suspects, according to the probable cause affidavit. One suspect placed a white t-shirt over the victim’s head, pinning the victim down, while the other rummaged through his clothing. The suspects allegedly stole a Bank of America debit card and approximately $314 in cash, which the victim had stored in a cut-off IV bag in his shorts pocket…
