Rodent droppings and live insects force shutdown of 6 South Florida restaurants

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — Six South Florida restaurants were ordered shut last week after state inspectors uncovered alarming sanitary violations, including 190 rodent droppings and 150 live insects in a bagel production area.

The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation conducted routine inspections that led to emergency closures due to health hazards. Among the most egregious violations was the discovery of rodent feces and live roaches in food preparation zones, which pose serious risks to public health.
