A man, who was wanted for attempting to hire a hitman to kill his business partner, was arrested in Tamarac after law enforcement received information that he was in the area.
According to an arrest affidavit filed by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, Roland Cameron McBarnette, 42, of North Lauderdale, was charged with criminal solicitation to murder, allegedly trying to pay a friend to kill a man over a business deal gone bad involving cell phones.
Detectives say that on October 10, McBarnette met with a man at his home on East Glen Oak Road in North Lauderdale. The affidavit states that during their conversation, McBarnette complained about being owed money from a failed business arrangement and allegedly told the man he wanted the other man involved “killed over the incident.”…
