As of late October 2025, the City of Hollywood, Florida, is addressing increased food insecurity. This is due to the ongoing federal government shutdown and the pause in SNAP benefits. The city’s Community Development Division is working to help residents who rely on these benefits access food during this period.
The Coordinating Council of Broward (CCB) has created a list of more than 140 food distribution sites in Broward County. Several organizations in Hollywood are providing free meals, groceries, and pantry support to local families and individuals.
Key locations in Hollywood include the Broward Outreach Centers on Scott Street, Faith & Life Fellowship Church, and the Jubilee Center of South Broward. These sites offer meal services or food pantry support on specific days.
