Hialeah, FL – A 36-year-old Hialeah man has been arrested following an undercover state investigation into drug trafficking operations in Miami-Dade County. Authorities say Eddie Junior Calle was taken into custody after investigators uncovered evidence linking him to the sale and distribution of methamphetamine and oxycodone, among other illegal substances.
The Incident: FDLE Task Force Targets Drug Trafficking in Hialeah
According to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), Calle’s arrest was part of a months-long operation conducted by the State Assistance for Fentanyl Eradication Task Force, which began in August 2025.
Agents first received information that an individual in Hialeah was distributing fentanyl-laced methamphetamine in the community. As undercover operations unfolded, investigators discovered that Calle was actively buying and selling controlled substances in both Hialeah and Miami Springs.
The FDLE said the suspect was taken into custody on October 28, 2025, following coordinated surveillance and field operations led by narcotics officers.
Investigation and Evidence Collected
When investigators searched Calle’s residence after his arrest, they discovered a stash of illegal drugs totaling more than 116 grams. According to FDLE reports, the recovered substances included:
- Methamphetamine and crystal methamphetamine (116.5 grams combined)
- Oxycodone
- Ketamine
- Alprazolam (Xanax)
- Marijuana
