FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — As Thanksgiving approaches, families in Fort Lauderdale lined up early Saturday morning to receive turkeys and groceries during a holiday giveaway.
Local 10 first spoke to recipients Kimbele Edwards and Thelma Coates, who praised the event.
“Last year they didn’t have the funding to provide food for needy families,” said Edwards. “I know that the line can go from here tall the way out to beach. I wanted to beat the rush and I’ve been out here since 4:45 a.m. this morning.”…
