Dania Beach Residents Invited to Public Hearing on Changes to Recovery Residence Zoning Rules

The City of Dania Beach, Florida, will hold a public hearing to discuss a proposed amendment to its Land Development Code (LDC). The hearing is set for Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. It will take place in the City Commission Chambers at Dania Beach City Hall, 100 West Dania Beach Blvd. The amendment, labeled TX-046-25, is proposed by the City.

The main purpose of the amendment is to update definitions and zoning rules for Certified Recovery Residences. It would change the definition in Chapter 28, Article 725 of the LDC. The amendment also aims to clarify how these residences are regulated in different zoning districts. These districts include residential, open space, commercial, mixed-use, and special areas like the Community Redevelopment Area (CRA).
