Miami-Dade deputies: 19-year-old man confesses to several robberies after armed carjacking in Opa-locka

OPA-LOCKA, Fla. — A 19-year-old man confessed to several robberies in Miami-Dade County after a carjacking on Sunday in Opa-locka, according to a Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputy’s report.

A victim reported that he was cleaning his car on Sunday morning at the Chevron gas station, at 2200 NW 95 St., when two gunmen stole his wallet and his Ford, records show.

With the help of the victim’s Ford app, a deputy found the stolen Ford at Northwest 100 Street and 23 Avenue and approached, records show…
