Amanda Plasencia of NBC 6 South Florida says a routine traffic stop near the Hard Rock Casino turned into something much uglier for Demarquize Dawson.
Plasencia reports that Dawson was driving a rental car when a Davie Police officer pulled him over because a license plate frame partially covered a letter in the words “Sunshine State.”
Dawson told Plasencia the officer said, “I’m arresting you because the ‘S’ on your license plate is obscured,” referring to the “S” in “Sunshine.”…
