A young woman from Florida looks likely to spend decades behind bars, after allowing her newborn son to suffocate as soon as he was born. Bianca R. Desouza, 23, pled guilty to one count each of aggravated manslaughter of a child and neglect of a child causing significant bodily harm, Palm Beach County court records showed.
The crime took place on May 2, 2022, when Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and Fire Rescue team members responded to an emergency call about an unresponsive baby. The police were called to a property in West Boca Raton, 45 miles outside of Miami.
