Ohio State legend has strange take on Miami heading into Cotton Bowl

For a guy that teaches and specializes in finance, Bobby Carpenter’s final equation on the Miami-Texas A&M game probably needs an audit.

The former Ohio State All-American linebacker tried to diminish Miami’s win over the Aggies last weekend, but his numbers just don’t add up.

“I mean Miami…they couldn’t make a stinking…they couldn’t make a field goal. They were moving the ball. Now they got the touchdown at the end that got them the win,” Carpenter said. “You start looking, Miami had the turnovers, they couldn’t get points. And the other thing they had too…hidden yardage. Malachi Toney got the punt return, and they didn’t get points on that. I equated it to this… A&M may have been the better team.”…
