A teen was arrested after police say he accidentally discharged a firearm, sending a bullet through a nearby home’s kitchen window and into a refrigerator.
Jacari Jacques, 18, of Pompano Beach, was taken into custody on December 26 and charged with discharging a firearm in public and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, Margate Police Department records show.
According to MPD, the incident happened at a residence near Northwest 62nd Avenue. The victim told officers she was seated in her dining room when she heard a loud bang coming from her kitchen, then noticed smoke and discovered a bullet hole in her refrigerator door.
