Boca Raton Police Arrest Woman Who Allegedly Swung Hammer At Children, Spit at Cop

Boca Raton police have charged a South Florida woman with swinging a hammer at children while standing in a city intersection following multiple complaints regarding the woman’s behavior.

The suspect, Jaimie Borys, 29, of Ft. Lauderdale, was taken into custody Dec. 26, 2025 after police were called to a location near the intersection of Federal Highway and SE 9th Street at 9:21 p.m. The victim, a minor, told officers that the woman was initially approaching a vehicle that was on the roadway, but as he stopped to record with his phone, she began to “charge” at him.
