Local Activists Rally Against ICE Violence After Minneapolis Shooting

When Christine Bleecker saw the shooting of Renee Good by ICE agents in Minneapolis, she wanted to do something.

A leader of the Joyful Resistance South Florida movement, she used social media to call for a demonstration, the “Stop Ice Terror Protest,” at the southeast corner of University Drive and Sample Road on the evening of January 9th.

“I said, let’s gather and express our outrage about this killing and the abuses of the Trump administration. We need to go out and demonstrate what ICE is doing. This is how we can work for change,” said Bleecker of Coral Springs…
