FAU students outraged at the condition of freshmen dorm buildings on Boca Raton campus

Florida Atlantic freshmen have shared complaints about the quality of the Boca Raton campus’ dormitory buildings, specifically Glades Park Towers (GPT) and Indian River Towers (IRT).

Students began voicing these complaints after flooding in IRT, mold issues in multiple freshmen dorm buildings, and other problems, such as broken laundry machines in GPT.

Some students have taken their concerns to social media. One student complained on YikYak, an app in which college students can post and discuss with each other anonymously, writing, “Paying 4k a semester to live in a building that has no hot water, broken dryers, flooding, and fire alarms that go off twice in a day by the way.”…
