DELRAY BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A former bookkeeper accused of stealing nearly $250,000 from a Delray Beach architect pleaded guilty and was sentenced Wednesday in Palm Beach County Circuit Court.
Nicole Iacono, 71, admitted during a hearing this morning that she committed an organized scheme to defraud in excess of $50,000, stemming from an investigation into the disappearance of significant funds from her former employer’s accounts.
Iacono was sentenced to 366 days in Florida State Prison and ordered to serve 10 years of probation following her release. The judge also gave her credit for 40 days already spent in jail, meaning she will serve the remainder of her sentence after accounting for that time…
