Coldest air since 2010 forecast for South Florida with frigid temps in the 30s

The National Weather Service in Miami is forecasting for the coldest air since the record breaking chill of January 2010 to flood down the Peninsula this week, turning an already shivering South Florida even more frigid.

Temperatures in coastal areas of Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties are forecast to dip into the 30s in the early morning hours of Sunday, Feb. 1. Officially, West Palm Beach is predicted to fall to 34 degrees, which is 2 degrees shy of the record for that day set in 1909.

Miami could hit 39 degrees, while Naples, could drop to 35 degrees…
