CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A man wanted in a death by distribution case in Catawba County was arrested almost a year later in Florida, deputies say.
In February 2025, Jacob Lee Kirk was found dead at his Hickory home, the sheriff’s office said. An autopsy report by the North Carolina Medical Examiner’s office revealed that his cause of death was fentanyl toxicity.
