2 drivers killed in wrong-way crash that shut down U.S. 27 in Weston

Two drivers were killed in a wrong-way crash on U.S. 27 in Weston early Wednesday, authorities said.

The crash happened sometime after midnight at the 37-mile marker, near the exit for Interstate 75 and State Road 84, Florida Highway Patrol officials said.

According to FHP, a Range Rover crashed into a Nissan Altima before the Range Rover caught fire with the driver still trapped inside. It was not immediately clear which vehicle was going the wrong way on the road…
