FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — Japanese restaurant concept Midori is planning a July opening at 640 NW 7th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311, according to owner Álvaro Perez Miranda, who told Business Debut the restaurant will be located inside the Arcadian apartment development.
The Fort Lauderdale location will mark Midori’s fourth outpost, joining existing restaurants in Coconut Grove and additional locations opening soon in West Palm Beach and Miami’s 79th Street corridor. Perez Miranda said the Arcadian site was selected for its visibility and built-in residential community.
What to Expect
Midori is a Japanese casual restaurant focused on high-quality ingredients and a compact, thoughtfully designed dining room. The Fort Lauderdale space will seat approximately 50 guests, including a private dining room for eight, a 12-seat patio, and a sushi counter where diners can watch chefs prepare dishes.
“My restaurants are always small because I lived 15 years in Japan,” Perez Miranda told Business Debut. “I want to do a concept that is about quality versus quantity.”
Menu and Vision
The menu will center on fresh seafood sourced directly from Japan through a dedicated broker. Guests can expect sushi, temaki, and rice or soba bowls topped with fish and paired with sauces such as spicy miso, sesame ginger, or soy with wasabi. Bento boxes will also be available for takeout…
