Broward County is stepping up its tech game for law enforcement, initiating a sprawling tech enhancement over the next 26 months. This Regional Law Records Management System (LRMS), supported by the cloud platform NicheRMS365, is intended to sharpen the efficacy and collaboration of local law enforcement. According to an announcement on the Broward County website, a $4 million agreement with Niche Technology USA Limited was approved on October 21, 2025, marking the transition towards a more unified, secure handling of law enforcement operations – from paperwork to crime analysis.
As the new system takes off, it first targets eight major agencies. Among them are the Broward Sheriff’s Office and the police departments of cities like Hollywood, Sunrise, and Lauderhill. Broward County has generously covered the initial setup fees, but it’s not just charity – after the system’s first year post-final acceptance, these agencies will start footing the bill for support and maintenance costs.
