A male riding an electric bicycle was killed Tuesday afternoon in a crash involving a pickup truck at a Coral Springs intersection, according to police.
On Feb. 10, around 4:30 p.m., the Coral Springs Police Department Traffic Homicide Unit responded to a traffic crash at the intersection of Coral Ridge Drive and Eagle Trace Boulevard. The crash involved a white 2022 Nissan pickup truck and a black RadRunner Plus electric bicycle, a police spokesperson said.
A preliminary investigation by police found that the Nissan pickup was traveling west from 19th Street at Coral Ridge Drive and proceeded through a green traffic signal while making a left turn to travel southbound on Coral Ridge Drive, police said.
