Fort Lauderdale’s Cypress Creek corridor is about to get a serious upgrade in the carb department. Bagels & Co., the Philadelphia-born bagel chain, is moving into 957 E Cypress Creek Road, with permit applications already in the pipeline and an opening date still under wraps.
According to WhatNow, filings for the new shop were submitted to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, and the chain’s website now lists the Cypress Creek address as “coming soon.” The listing pins 957 E. Cypress Creek Rd as the storefront, although there is still no word on when doors will officially open for a soft launch or grand debut.
Local growth after a Philly start
Bagels & Co. is run by Philadelphia-based Glu Hospitality, which first introduced the concept to South Florida with a Wilton Manors location, as reported by CityBiz. Since then, the brand has been steadily expanding outside Pennsylvania and positioning itself as a grab-and-go breakfast and lunch option tailored to commuters and nearby office workers.
What they’ll serve
The menu leans into bold flavors and house-made schmears, from French toast and rainbow bagels to more traditional savory staples. It also features eye-catching cream cheeses such as black truffle and a bright-blue “Cookie Monster” spread, according to Miami New Times. Shops round things out with made-to-order breakfast and lunch sandwiches, plus coffee and other grab-and-go drinks aimed squarely at the morning rush.
